Karina Schulte Is the Principal of La Fe Preparatory School. She received her Master’s Degree as a Curriculum Specialist with an emphasis on two way dual language programs from UTEP in 2003. She has worked at UTEP as a Coordinator for a graduate training program which supports teachers in bilingual education and has also taught a graduate level bilingual course. She was recently honored as the 2009 BEEMS Administrator of the Year. Her teaching experience began in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, where she co-owned and operated a Pre-Kindergarten center. She taught in the Ysleta Independent School District for seven years as a dual language teacher in grades Kinder-2nd and also served as a teacher trainer. Being an English Language Learner, Mrs. Schulte understands the need for all students and parents to embrace their culture and their language. She strongly believes that all students deserve a first class education and has devoted her life to advocate for quality bilingual programs in the border community. She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband and 3 children.
