Vanessa Rose Ortega

Is a graduate of Loretto Academy in El Paso, Texas. She holds a BA in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in education at the University of Texas at El Paso. This is her first year teaching kindergarten at La Fe Preparatory School. She enjoys learning Spanish from her students while teaching the students English. She uses creative methods to engage her 5 and 6 year old students. Vanessa was awarded $1000.00 in 2007 for being voted teacher of the month from Crawford Kids. 
 
Vanessa is the first of three born to her parents. She has a younger sister studying at UTEP and a brother studying at Western New Mexico University. Vanessa is a first generation college graduate. Vanessa’s interests include belly dancing, concerts, acting, and going to the comic strip. Vanessa is very proud to be part of La Fe’s first year teachers and is excited about what the future has in store at La Fe Preparatory School.
